Save the Pincushion!

Pincushions are soft, warm, and friendly.

A pincushion's mission is to be stuck with pins and needles 

in order to store them safely.

However, the moment you stab a pin into a pincushion, you turn the pincushion into a monster, fully equipped with a lethal weapon and a menacing look. 

What's more, the more pins and needles you stab into the pincushion, the more monstrous monster you create!

As a result, you can see monster hearts, tomatoes and flowers in the homes of your needlework-loving friends, aunts and grandfathers.

I acknowledge that the nature of the world is inevitably dual. 

Just as everything can be both good and evil depending on circumstances, every pincushion can be both friendly and scary, depending on the size of its owner's collection of needles and pins.

Still, I believe it's cruel to turn innocent pincushions into monsters just for human pleasure and convenience. We can do better than this! Especially when the solution is so simple and cheap and wouldn't cost anyone a job.

The solution: 

All pincushions should be modeled after a hedgehog.

This ↑ is an unhappy hedgehog. 

The smile is fake.

A naked hedgehog is always unhappy.

To make the hedgehog happy, we only have to stick in it as many needles and pins as possible.

This ↑ is a happy hedgehog.

The beautiful thing is that once the pincushion is a hedgehog, the dynamics is fully reversed - more pins and needles make it more happy, not less.

But to achieve the world full of happy pincushions we still have a long way to go.
